Beyond information. Towards understanding.
We live in a time of abundant information, rapid opinion and competing narratives. Yet more information does not always lead to greater understanding. Tattvajnanam is being created as a space to pause, look beneath the surface, examine assumptions and explore the deeper forces that shape nations, societies and human thought.
Its focus spans geopolitics, history, defence and security, India and civilisation, ideas and society, and research. These subjects are connected: the present is shaped by history, national choices are influenced by ideas, and meaningful analysis requires context as well as evidence.
The intention is not to prescribe a single way of thinking or to offer certainty where none exists. It is to encourage intellectual curiosity, distinguish fact from interpretation, consider competing perspectives fairly and ask questions that lead to better questions—and, over time, to sounder judgement.
Principles of inquiry
- Look beyond headlines and surface explanations.
- Separate verifiable facts from opinion, inference and speculation.
- Engage seriously with history, context and alternative interpretations.
- Question ideas respectfully; do not make disagreement personal.
- Remain open to revising a view when better evidence emerges.
Tattvajnanam is an independent intellectual platform. The views expressed are the author's own and do not represent any employer, institution, government body or organisation with which the author has been associated.
